Digital Service Station™ aims to be the Kinko’s℠ of the entertainment industry
AlphaDogs, Inc., a post-production studio focused on keeping clients “ahead of the pack,” today announced the launch of Digital Service Station™, a new division that will provide post-production professionals with the tools and services needed to complete their projects on time and on budget.
Digital Service Station offers editors a new solution to importing and exporting their material from tape to hard drive and back to tape. This competitive new alternative to renting editing equipment or hiring assistants will change the way the industry operates today.
Digital Service Station will serve as a digitizing or export solution for editors with limited equipment, time and/or budgets. The new division provides the latest cutting-edge editing equipment—from Avid® to Final Cut Pro®. Clients will save a significant amount of time and money, whether they prefer to digitize material themselves or have Digital Service Station’s experts handle the tasks.
Digital Service Station will offer the following services:
Hourly and daily station rentals
Drive rental and sales
Tape to drive (OMF, QuickTime®, Windows Media®, etc.)
Drive output to tape
Drop-off and next day pick-up
Drop-off and pick-up with one-light color correction
Assistant editor services available upon request
Tim Graser, executive producer at AlphaDogs, will head the new division.
“Today’s post-production community is filled with talented editors who are working independently or in small teams. This means they usually have limited equipment to work with or are on tight deadlines to deliver the finished project,” said Graser. “By launching Digital Service Station, AlphaDogs will enable editors to focus their attention on the more creative aspects of their project and leave the busy work to us.”
